Your rights and responsibilities as a patient. We are committed to safe, transparent, and respectful care.
Did you know you have patient rights recognized by the Constitution, national legislation, and international legal instruments? We are committed to protecting your rights while also reminding you of your general responsibilities.
Our patients have the right to receive complete information β in a language and manner they can understand β about proposed medical interventions, their potential risks and benefits, available alternatives, and the consequences of declining treatment.
The health status and personal information of every individual who visits our hospital is protected in strict confidence β even after death. This information may only be disclosed with the patient's explicit consent or upon a definitive court order.
Except where legally required, the patient has the right to refuse or request the discontinuation of any planned or ongoing treatment, bearing responsibility for any adverse consequences that may arise.
Patients may submit their complaints first to our Patient Rights Unit, administrative authority, or Ethics Committee. If no resolution is reached, they retain the right to apply to the relevant professional bodies and the judiciary.
Please remember: Your patient's health matters as much to us as it does to you. Welcome to the Biruni Family.
